About the Asian Mental Health Project:
Asian Mental Health Project provides educational resources and community care initiatives that help make mental health care more accessible and approachable for the Pan-Asian community. Today, we create multimedia resources, host community events and provide mental health assistance grants.
Position Overview:
The Digital Events Coordinator will play a key role in helping the Asian Mental Health Project host and manage online events for our community. This volunteer position will involve working closely with the Executive Director and Director of Partnerships to organize and oversee events on our digital platform, Luma. The Digital Events Coordinator will ensure smooth scheduling, coordination with peer affinity group facilitators, and publicize the events through social media platforms to maximize engagement and reach.
Key Responsibilities:
Digital Event Management:
Coordinate and manage the logistics of digital events using Luma (including scheduling, setup, and troubleshooting).
Work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Partnerships to ensure events run smoothly and meet our community's needs.
Affinity Group Scheduling & Coordination:
Collaborate with facilitators of our various peer affinity groups to schedule sessions for the fall.
Ensure all events are properly scheduled, promoted, and organized to ensure maximum participation.
Social Media Content Creation:
Develop and curate engaging content to promote upcoming digital events and affinity group meetings on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
Work with the communications team to ensure all digital event promotions align with our mission and branding.
Collaboration & Communication:
Serve as the primary point of contact for facilitators and participants regarding digital events and affinity group meetings.
Regularly update the team on the status of event scheduling, upcoming promotions, and any challenges or issues.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Familiarity with event management platforms like Luma (or willingness to learn).
Proficient in social media content creation and management (e.g., Canva, Hootsuite, or similar tools).
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
A passion for mental health awareness and a commitment to supporting the Asian community.
Time Commitment:
This position is estimated to require 2-5 hours per week, with flexibility in hours based on event scheduling and promotion needs. The role is remote and can be managed from any location.

Become a Speaker at Asian Mental Health Project
Asian Mental Health Project is seeking facilitators for our weekly Stay In, Check-In series. The session occurs every Wednesday at 5:30 PM PST/8:30 PM EST and run for around 1.5 hours.
We are currently seeking and prioritizing facilitators who are mental health professionals, behavioral health professionals, racial justice practitioners, certified health & wellness practitioners, occupational therapists, and physical therapists.
Each facilitator can discuss any topic of their choice. Past topics include: coping with racial trauma, active muscle relaxation, balancing work and life, and more. Facilitators are ideally licensed mental health practitioners or in the process of becoming licensed. However, if you believe you have something in the wellness and health space you would like to share - please let us know!
